The site of Ivandry’s construction company is now supplied with electricity from a photovoltaic solar power plant that has just been installed. The power station comprised of 270 solar panels with 94.5 kWp capacity. Wattec is an engineering, equipment supply and solar thermal and photovoltaic company.
According to Wattec, ABC has chosen “the path of energy transition through an investment with multiple social, fiscal and economic interests”.
The installation allows to significantly reduce electricity bills, providing 95% of the company’s daytime needs.
The plant also ensures the independence from the national electricity grid during the day.
Several other businesses have decided in recent weeks to turn to solar energy to reduce their electricity bills in Madagascar.
