Zimbabwe opens first computer assembling facility

Zimbabwe can now produce computers and other high-quality gadgets on its own due to the establishment of the Zimbabwe Technology Company (ZITCO).

This week, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has visited the company facility in Msasa, Harare, praising the achievements the specialists made in such a short period.

The national leader also pledged governmental support to ZITCO as the modern issues, according to him, required modern solutions.

“As this entity grows, it will deal with the domestic market and I see that in future it can also go in the external market, but for them to do so, they need to be supported by us,” Mnangagwa declared.

The facility has the capacity to produce 150, 000 gadgets annually, including various laptops and tablets.
