Since Friday, the Lesotho police have been searching for the country’s first lady in order to question her over the 2017 killing of the prime minister’s former wife, Lipolelo Thabane.
According to the reports, the law-enforcers obtained a warrant as Maesaiah Thabane, the current wife of Prime Minister Thomas Thabane, had failed to report to them — alike her husband who had not reached the officers over the matter either.
Despite the in-depth investigation, her whereabouts remain unknown.
Lipolelo was shot dead just two days before the PM’s inauguration in 2017.
Two months later, Maesaiah married the head of the mountain kingdom, a circumstance that brought even more mystery to the horrific case.
