DRC: Ebola cases on the rise

WHO Uganda

The Ugandans have been warned again to take extra precautions in connection with the increased number of Ebola cases listed in the neighbouring Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The number of the registered cases has risen to a striking figure of 55 in December whereas only 7 were registered in November.

The virus has already taken more than 2, 900 lives. The estimated number of entries to Uganda from Congo is expected to exceed 2, 000 in the festive season, meaning that the Ugandan side is to be extra cautious during the holiday time.
