The residents of some parts of Upington, South Africa, are witnessing a terrible picture when the town is at the mercy of a cyclone. According to the forecast, rainy and cloudy weather will last in the area until Sunday.
“We have got a watch of possible flooding in the Northern Cape with Upington included, as well as the western parts of the North West province. Upington this morning measured 36mm of rain,” a SA Weather Service representative said.

The locals share photos and videos via social media, which show buildings and cars being submerged in the water, after heavy rains hit the city.
The South African meteorological services have named as ‘flood hotspots’ Jukskei, Parkview and Mamelodi in Gauteng.
