DRC President visited CAR on National Day


Yesterday, the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, visited his Central African counterpart Faustin Archange Touadera in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic (CAR), to celebrate the country’s National Day.

Both visited the military and civil parade organised on the occasion of the CAR 61st anniversary. President Tshisekedi was then awarded the dignity of “Grand Cross” in the Central African Order of Recognition for the solidarity of the Congolese people towards their neigbours in the difficult times.

Both Heads of State also held a discussion on various economic and security issues between the two countries that share 1, 600 km of natural border.
