On Thursday, Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa met with Olusegun Obasanjo, the former Nigerian President who is now chairing the South Africa-based Brenthurst Foundation.
The bilateral meeting held at the State House in Harare was focused on the various business issues and possible investment opportunities.
Being a billionaire himself, Obasanjo showed a keen interest in funding the projects in Zimbabwe, emphasising that he was a good friend of the country.
“We discussed a number of issues. Well, it’s about Africa, about Zimbabwe, and about Nigeria and about Africans; what should be the development between our two countries and what should be the development, progress, and programme of enhancement of living standards of our people,” Obasanjo told the reporters after the meeting.
The high-profile official further commended the reception and fruitful discussions they had with Mnangagwa.
