On Wednesday, unidentified gunmen fired at a minibus, reportedly killing three civilians and seriously injuring three others.
The incident occurred in the country’s central province of Manica, while the vehicle was on its way from the Pindanganga village to the provincial town of Gondola.
“They shot against the front tires of the bus and hit my legs,” driver Chiringa Taimo, one of the few victims who managed to survive in the shooting, told.
The perpetrators believed to be Renamo militants then set the bus on fire keeping the whole area under a hail of bullets. They had then fled the scene before any services responded.
The police confirmed the case stating their members were investigating the details.
