Well-known Zambian businessman Valden Findlay has instructed his lawyers to take legal action against the leader of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chishimba Kambwili, who previously accused the entrepreneur of drug trafficking.
While speaking to the press, Findlay stressed that he was an honorable and law-abiding man who has never been implicated arrested or convicted in relation to any criminal activities.
According to his statement, the man who is a close friend of Zambian President Edgar Lungu is guided by the principles of legality and always follows the laws while conducting his businesses in Zambia.
This week, the NDC president revealed the Findlay’s alleged connection with the underworld stating that he even used a presidential jet to transport the drugs and other illicit substances — a claim that was later refuted by the authorities and various sources. Kambwili also emphasised the man was included in the US most-wanted list.
