Malawi speaker of parliament, Gotani Hara, announced on Monday that the National Assembly has stopped publishing hard copies of chamber documents including the Hansard.
Hansards is a Malawian Parliamentary publication that details the daily planned business of the House.
According to Hara, parliament will now be producing the Hansard in electronic form following an agreement reached by party leadership at a recent business committee meeting in the 193-strong House.
“This will improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in the circulation of chamber documents, especially the Hansard,” she said.
She said hard copies of Hansard will only be produced on request by members of parliament, she added that parliament is planning to purchase lapto
