Zambia: HH discusses country’s burning issues with Canadian High Commissioner

The leader of the Zambian United Party for National Development, Hakainde Hichilema, together with other opposition members held a meeting with Canadian High Commissioner to Zambia Pamela O’Donnell.

The conversation took place in Lusaka on Wednesday morning and was aimed to highlight the issues of mutual interest for both countries, including the constantly rising costs of living and the hunger problem that grappled Zambia after a drought experienced last year.

Hichilema expressed gratitude to the Canadian policies especially in respecting human rights and stated that his party as well as all people of Zambia remained committed to foster bilateral and multilateral relations.

The opposition leader was accompanied by Secretary General Stephen Katuka, Deputy Chairperson of International Relations Rose Sakala, Chairperson for Elections Gary Nkombo.
