Saudi Arabia has deposited $250 million to support Sudan’s financial position.
The United Arab Emirates announced the $500 million deposit to Sudan back in April. The deposit became a part of the package. Both countries pledged an overall $3 billion in aid, including fuel, wheat, and medicine.
According to the Saudi finance ministry official, the deposit is not a grant, but a loan.
The deposit is aimed to fix Sudan’s financial situation by achieving stability.
