The Hawks have confirmed that they are investigating Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane. General Seswantsho Lebeya spoke on Wednesday outside a conference by the International Association of Financial C-rime Investigators.
Hawks head General Seswantsho Lebeya has confirmed the unit is investigating Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane.
Lebeya was speaking on Wednesday morning on the sidelines of a conference on fraud convened by the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators.
Anti-corruption pressure group Accountability Now’s Advocate Paul Hoffman filed a complaint against the Mkhwebane and Lebeya said that is what the case will focus on.
Mkhwebane is involved in a number of court battles with high profiled individuals who’ve challenged her rulings including President Cyril Ramaphosa and Pravin Gordhan.
