Former Old Mutual CEO Peter Moyo was all smiles today in court after winning a court battle against his employer after he was fired. The Gauteng High Court ruled that Moyo was unlawfully dismissed and that he be temporarily reinstated.
The judge interdicted Old Mutual from replacing axed CEO and ordered they pay for his legal fees.
He was suspended in May and later fired as CEO of the insurance company in June for alleged misconduct and alleged conflict of interest in his personal business matter.
Moyo’s application to be permanently reinstated will be heard at a later stage.
