Public Protector finds that Ramaphosa misled parliament over R500K Bosasa donation

Public Protector has found that President Ramaphosa deliberately misled parliament over R500K Bosasa donation.

Mkhwebane decided to narrow her investigation to whether the President deliberately mislead the National Assembly, whether he improperly exposed himself to a situation involving the risk of a conflict of interest.

In as far as the allegation of an improper relationship, the President said his son told him that his company has signed anti-bribery and corruption policy with the company.

Ramaphosa said his main reply to Maimane was based on information he had at that time. He was informed by one of his advisers that the account Maimane was referring to was the account used for the campaign.

The Public Protector has found that President Cyril Ramaphosa has violated the Executive Ethics Code.
