Following the shooting and killing if two Mozambican border police officers last week, the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has sent a delegation to Mozambique to discuss the shooting incident.
The task team set up by the SANDF is expected to settle the matter with Mozambican officials.
SANDF spokesperson Brigadier General Mafi Mgobozi said: “At present we don’t have clarity on what happened, that is why as the SANDF, we need to go and engage our counterparts in Mozambique so that we can have one story.”
Mgobozi said the primary report submitted by a team that was investigating the incident at a border near Ndumo, KwaZulu Natal had missing information.
