Copperbelt police are looking for three armed robbers


Copperbelt Police are looking for 3 thieves following an armed robbery happened on Monday when the perpetrators stole K218 612 from 2 Mega Eggs cashiers.

The two cashiers identified as Evelyn Kolala, 29, and Benson Chisola, 24, were transporting the money to deposit at the bank using a corporate car Toyota Hiace Reg. Num. ALM 4829.

Charity Katanga, Copperbelt Police commissioner stated the three robbers attacked the cashiers, including the driver, identified as Kabwe Kasase, 32, and ran away with K218 612 near Lake Petroleum fuel service station on the Kitwe-Chingola Road.

She added the suspects tied up the three Mega Eggs employees in their car and sealed their mouths before taking away their cell phones and car keys.

No money recovery has been made yet, Katanga added, and investigation has been started to find the suspects who drove off in a Toyota Corolla.
