Zambia Apostolic Faith Mission has joined other organisations in donating humanitarian aid to cyclone Idai victims.
The church has provided twenty bags of mealie meal through the Disaster Management and Mitigation.
In a statement made by the Disaster Management and Mitigation communications officer, Racheal Mupanga, said that the aid was given to DMMU coordinator Chanda Kabwe.
Chanda Kabwe stated he was very grateful to the church for performing its doctrine of demonstrating love to the affected countries.
He also noted that the church had the duty to ensure peace and help the needy.
Kabwe also congratulated the Apostolic Faith Mission for being the first Church to come on board in providing assistance.
Elder Kenny Nyimbili, Apostolic Faith Mission representative said the mission was extremely touched by the suffering of the families in these three countries.
The natural disaster left a long trail of destruction, which included loss of human lives of more than 700 people.
Over 2 000 were injured, 190 920 displaced and more than 1,912,930 affected, according to data released by the authorities in the three countries.
