Efforts have been made as Cape Town police attempt to find Orderick Lucas — a 22-month-old baby boy who was reported missing last Thursday. However, the investigations haven’t seen any progress ever since it started.
According to Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk, SAPS conducted a door-to-door search and deployed additional dog units that have already searched several residences, but the child has not been found yet.
Davideen Lucas, the toddler’s mother, went to police last week, saying that her boy disappeared while her friend was looking after him. Relying on the preliminary information, the police opened the case against two women on charges of child neglect and child abandonment, however, later it was dropped.
The local community urged to provide any information known in order to find a baby. Police added that Orderick had been wearing a white vest, grey jacket, and red pants at the time of his disappearance.
