Theto Nkoana, a nine-year-old learner from Aston Manor Primary School, was granted R500 voucher as a prize for her academic achievements and personal kindness.
The schoolgirl took part in a Toys R Us 2019 competition aimed to foster a culture of love and also to commend the pupils who were the best role models to their classmates. Besides the money, Theto received an official certificate, a cap and a badge of the organisation.
According to Nkoana’s teachers who nominated her as a school’s candidate, the young girl met all the requirements needed thanks to her incredible social skills and hard work.
“Theto is a star learner who applies herself well to all activities,” teacher Kerry Solomons sAID. “She often receives over 90 percent for formal assessment tasks and she is a good friend with a warm smile.”
