According to the statement, they will cast the ballots at one of the South Africa’s 121 foreign missions on April 27 — more than ten days ahead of May general elections.
“The applications were received by the deadline to submit a notification to vote abroad using a VEC 10 form yesterday [Wednesday]. Of these, 29,334 were approved,” IEC spokeswoman Kate Bapela explained.
Statistics show that the most part of that group — 14,800 SA voters — will confirm their decision in Europe, Asia takes the second place with over 7,000 SA voters there.
