The ANC has claimed that the DA-run City of Cape Town gave a lucrative housing contract to the wife of a suspected gangster.
The contract was awarded to Glomix Housebrokers CC, which is run by Nicole Stanfield, whose husband, Ralph, is a suspected 28s gang leader. As a result, the ANC in the Western Cape has accused the DA in the province of having a close relationship to the criminal underworld.
Faiez Jacobs, the ANC’s Western Cape Secretary, stated that Nicole Stanfield received an R400 million tender to construct over 700 houses in the Valhalla Park area after gangsters had intimidated the previous contractor.
According to the DA’s answer to the accusations, the Glomix Housebrokers passed all the necessary tests and met the requirements for the contract.
