A 43-year-old woman from Northern Cape has been transported to the ICU unit at Gariep Mediclinic, Kimberley, with severe head trauma and other critical injuries. Reports indicate that the resident performed a jump from a moving vehicle on the R31 between Kimberley and Barkly West.
The tragic accident was caused by an alleged conflict between the victim and a male driver, whom she has been traveling with. After the conversation heated to the limit, the woman opened a backseat door of a blue Nissan Qashqai and dropped onto the tar road.
She was later treated on the scene by paramedics and was transported to Kimberley’s Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital. Because of her extremely critical condition, the specialists decided to provide additional health measures and the woman was transferred to Gariep Mediclinic’s ICU unit, ICU’s spokesperson Denise Coetzee said.
