The South African Revenue Service (SARS) members have visited the African Global Operations’ head office to execute a search and seizure warrant. As the South African media reports, the SARS officials together with the Economy Unit received a warrant to enter the company’s property on Friday morning.
According to SARS, the operation details are currently classified. What is known is that the liquidator Cloete Murray met the company employees to inform them about the wage situation.
Representatives of the trade union point out, the staff have received a monthly salary in February and will be provided with payments in March.
As it has been reported earlier, Bosasa was declared insolvent in early February. The decision on bankruptcy has been made after large banks decision to close their accounts.
