ANC retained seat in the Naledi municipality


The African National Congress (ANC) managed to retain a place in the Naledi municipality in the North West during a by-election. As it is known the ward became vacant after the councilor’s death.

Lopez Mongameli Moeng of the ANC won the ward with a result of 73.53 percent and got 939 votes during the by-election in Ward 4.

Gaoretelelwe Nathaniel Molebalwa, an independent candidate, received 58 votes, Mogomotsi Matthews Peloeng of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) got 272 votes and Kagiso Kevin Kgajane from the Congress of the People (Cope) gained 8 votes.
