The longstanding dispute between investigative journalist Jacques Pauw and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema escalated on Twitter on Wednesday. The thing is that Malema was indignant at the words of a journalist about him.
The EFF leader expressed anger and objection to the message on Pauw’s Twitter that appeared after the sheriffs raided the alleged smuggler Adriano Mazzotti Hyde Park home. As it is reported, he owes the South African Revenue Service (Sars) more than R70 million.

Pauw said that Mazzotti would not pay the debt and might lose his Hyde Park villa. The journalist also added that “neighbor Malema is going to be a lonely man.” Malema, in his turn, responded:
“You can go f*** yourself.”
Jacques Pauw had tweeted a bird’s-eye view of the property from Google Earth, where the EFF leader’s family was living in a house owned by Mazzotti.
The journalist had to delete the message after the appeal of the South African National Editors’ Forum (Sanef). However, the photograph of Malema with his young son sitting next to Mazzotti is still there.
