On Wednesday, February 13, two by-elections will be held in the Western Cape. The first elections are reported to be organized in ward 4 in Knysna and the second in ward 54 in Camps Bay.
As it has become known this morning, the voting stations in the Western Cape will be operating until 21:00 on Wednesday evening.
As the Independent Electoral Commission said, the by-elections were set following the removal of the ward councilor.
“The ward 54 vacancy follows the resignation of the councilor. The ward by-election follows the removal of the ward councillor from office,” the spokesperson said.
