SAWS forecasts a stormy spell in KZN

Soon the KwaZulu-Natal province will be overcast by clouds, with the persistent wind and rain coming again as the South African Weather Service (SAWS) promises another week of thunderstorms. According to the statement, the weather will deteriorate starting Monday morning and is expected to settle by the middle of the week.

“Storms can be expected throughout the day, well into Tuesday morning and 60% chances of thunderstorms can also be expected in the afternoon,” Weather forecaster Stacy Colborne said.

She added the residents should not expect the sun to come out on Thursday — rain will likely stop on that day, however, the cloudy weather will remain in the province. As a relief, the air will be rather warm than cold as only moderate winds are forecast.
