The Federation of Unions of South Africa (Fedusa) will initiate an internal and external investigation into the allegations against general secretary Dennis George, who has been suspended and accused of corruption.
According to Fedusa’s deputy general secretary Riefdah Ajam, the results of the investigation will be announced at the end of the month.
George was granted special leave after he had allegedly benefited in a deal between Public Investment Corporation (PIC). In addition, it is assumed that he was involved it the Ayo Technology Solutions case.
The Federation of Unions has created a special group that will deal with the charges. However, Fedusa, in turn, said that it had never attempted to acquire shares on behalf of the union.
