The African National Congress (ANC) in Eastern Cape has announced the creation of a special unit to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of government deployees.

The unit inspection will be held every three months. The new unit will be located at the ANC headquarters at Calata House in King William’s Town. The ANC in Eastern Cape is working to take measures against dishonest government deployees in this regard.

According to provincial secretary Lulama Ngcukaitobi, the new system has already been developed:

“There’s already a format that we have designed that will deal with specific areas of deployment. But for individuals that are deployed, we are going to do an assessment once every three months. The purpose of that performance appraisal is to do two things, to find if cadres that are deployed are appropriately deployed and give support where it is necessary. We cannot continue with comrades that are unable to discharge because of their deficiencies,” said Ngcukaitobi.
