The CRL commission will publish a report describing the circumstances that led to the death of three people in the Pastor Shepherd Bushiri’s church in Pretoria.
The head of the church and a controversial Pastor Bushiri were summoned to the commission to reveal the details of the deadly incident that occurred on December 28. Bushiri arrived at the commission along with the Mayor of Tshwane Solly Msimanga.
The CRL commission has started to investigate the Pastor Shepherd Bushiri’s church activities after the stampede, where people were killed and injured. It is known that three women died and 17 people were injured to varying degrees of severity when they tried to hide from a strong storm before the church service.
Bushiri, in his turn, said that the church would have complied with all the safety rules. He also denied reports that he attempted to cover up the dead bodies.
