Musician Thulani Ngcobo who is also known as Pitch Black Afro has not been freed on bail as the hearings in in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court were postponed once again.
Ngcobo was previously accused of the premeditated murder of his wife, Catherine “Trisha” Modusane. The incident happened at the B&B establishment on New Year’s Eve, 31 January 2018, however, the exact circumstances are now under the investigation.
On Thursday, the rapper’s defense was unable to provide any efficient evidence to Magistrate Piet du Plessis, which could in turn outweigh the evidence of the prosecution shown during a private part of the hearing (it was made to save Modusane’s family from seeing visual images of the deceased).
Ngcobo’s advocates deny all charges, saying their defendant did not see his wife’s injuries when she got back to the apartment as he was intoxicated.
After both sides’ arguments have been voiced Du Plessis postponed the hearing to February 7.
