The National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, the Hawks, Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebeya, is upset by the behavior of an Hawks investigator convicted of money laundering and fraud.
On Wednesday, the 51-year-old Hawks investigator Captain Stefanus Nicolaas Van Rooi was sentenced to punishment in the Springbok Regional Court. However, Stefanus Nicolaas Van Rooi never made this trip and appropriated the funds.
On Monday, Van Rooi was brought before the Springboks regional court on charges of fraud and money laundering, and then was sentenced to 12 months in prison and a fine of R20,000.
