The KwaZulu-Natal government launched a Business Regulations Programme to reduce and prevent illegal trade in the province.
As stated by the press office for the South African government, the program launched by MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Sihle Zikalala should contribute to the efficient and honest work of local businesses.
The program aims to stop the work of organizations selling counterfeit or low-quality goods or placing retail outlets in unauthorized places.
According to Zikalala, the Business Regulations Programme is not a punitive measure against certain entrepreneurs. In his opinion, business plays a large role in the economic development of the country, the essential thing is to eradicate illegal entrepreneurship.
