Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa condemned actions of the country’s security forces and responded to reports of violations against civilians.
As President Mnangagwa noted, the behavior of the Zimbabwe security forces does not correspond to the new course taken by the country. Emmerson Mnangagwa previously drew attention to the ill-treatment of security forces against citizens and condemned such behavior, noting, that violence is unacceptable.
Earlier, eyewitnesses reported that a police officer, a soldier and a security agent of Zimbabwe beat local residents with a baton on the head on on Harare’s Chirembra Road.
Earlier, protests broke out in two largest cities of Zimbabwe, Harare and Bulawayo. The country’s security forces responded to them harshly.
