A delegation of the South African ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), arrived to Zimbabwe on an official visit to meet with Zanu-PF representatives.
The South African team is being led by the ANC secretary general Cde Ace Magashule. Cde Orbert Mpofu, the ruling party secretary for administration, told him about the state of the country. The parties had held the meeting at the Zanu-PF headquarters.
Magashule thanked President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, for the opportunity to meet and discuss current issues and solutions.
In turn, Mpofu said that South Africa and Zimbabwe shared a wealth of experience in fighting for freedom:
“Our long walk to freedom as stated by your founding father Cde Nelson Rolihlala Mandela still continues. As Zimbabwe we have achieved one milestone in this journey of emancipation by ensuring that we take ownership of the land,” Mpofu said.
