Police officers gunned down 8 criminals who attempted to rob trading posts in the market located in the city of Betroka, Madagascar.
According to media posts, a group of ten people entered the place during night time, however, soon those actions were reported by sellers to the local gendarmerie and several squads were deployed. Instead of peaceful negotiations criminals unleashed the power of their AKs and shotguns, resulting in a shoot back by the officers.
The shootout was confirmed to last for about 5 hours, during which 2 suspects managed to escape. 8 of them received fatal injuries. All bodies were transported to criminals’ families who reportedly live in the villages nearby the scene.
Police are now taking measures to arrest the fugitives. A case is open and investigation has been underway.
