Access to the Internet connection was restored in Zimbabwe after a blocking caused by the protests that broke out in the country.
However, despite the fact that, in general, Zimbabweans can use the Internet again, Twitter and Facebook remain blocked, allegedly because these social media were used by the Trade Union to incite protests in the country.
Earlier, protesting citizens took to the demonstrations because of a possible increase in fuel prices, proclaimed by the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mnangagwa said, that people in the country need to unit and think about the future and economic development. The president also refused to go to the World Economic Forum in Davos because of the unrest in the country.
