On Thursday, January 24, at the Khumalo Stadium in Khuma in the North West, takes place the funeral of former South African national football team striker Phil Masinga.
Masinga will be buried in his hometown, Khuma. The official provincial funeral will be organized for the former Bafana Bafana striker.
The farewell ceremony for Phil Masinga will be attended by Sports Minister Thokozile Xasa, North West Premier Job Mokgoro and Safa president Danny Jordaan.
The talented athlete Phil Masinga died last week after a long battle with cancer.
During his career, Masinga played for Jomo Cosmos, Mamelodi Sundowns and Leeds United football clubs in England, and also scored a goal, thanks to which Bafana Bafana went to his first world football championship, championship held in France in 1998.
