On Wednesday, January 23, Nopasika Lila, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund (EPPF) CEO, resigned.
According to EPPF board of trustees chair Mantuka Maisela, Nopasika Lila made a conscious decision to leave the post after long deliberation.
She began to work in the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund as a financial director in December 2010, and then became an independent non-executive director of the enX Group and Nampak.
Nopasika Lila also worked at Old Mutual and the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).
Earlier, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa set up a task team to help a state-owned company Eskom deal with debts.
