The Central Application Clearing House (CACH) call centre which was created to help enrollees with applying to university shows promising results as in two weeks of 2019 it has almost beaten results of 2018’s three-month period.
According to a statement made by officials from CACH, operators have registered 32 000 signups (compared to 35t in 2018) since the start of monitoring on January 4.
“We are excited that already in the first two weeks, we have almost matched the numbers for 2018 in terms of the use of CACH and this shows that students are confident in the service,” Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister Buti Manamela said.
According to his speech, some technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges and universities in South Africa still had space so residents can always try to apply to them. Students may also use the call centre and ensure their registration.
