Sisulu: protests in Zimbabwe have subsided

On Monday morning, January 21, the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Lindiwe Sisulu gave a briefing for the media, where she spoke about the situation in Zimbabwe.

Sisulu stressed that protests in the country gradually subsided, and Zimbabwe is returning to the normal, quiet life.

As told the South African ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mphakama Mbethe, the government is liaising with Zimbabwean colleagues and helping to find ways to improve the economic situation.

According to Lindiwe Sisulu, if the Zimbabwe economy does not take the path of growth, current economic problems can greatly affect the previously achieved improvements in the political and economic spheres.
