Life St George’s Hospital in Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Cape, is going to start an internal investigation following an incident occurred to one of its patients. According to a Facebook post made by Jason Gordon, hospital personal has not helped his grandfather and even left him on the floor.

When the grandson with relatives arrived, the aged man who appears to suffer dementia and blindness problems was all covered in his own blood and urine.

“This is not the kind of care I would expect when you pay so much for medical aid; this kind of thing should not be acceptable in any state or private hospital. You would expect people in the medical profession to be compassionate and want to make sure their patients are comfortable, not leaving them in an embarrassing and unhealthy situation, especially when they are not capable of helping themselves,” Gordon said.

He also added that it was not the first time something went wrong with his granddad at the hospital. However, details on the other accidents remains unknown.
