Four South Africans lost in the waters of Mozambique

Mozambique is still searching for four South Africans who, as is previously known, have drowned in the neighboring country.

Four citizens went missing on Monday, January 14. As reported by DIRCO, family members of missing people came to Mozambique to search for their relatives along with the South African High Commission in Maputo and local authorities.

Today, International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) Minister Lindiwe Sisulu was briefed on measures to rescue South Africans.

“South Africa’s High Commissioner to Mozambique, Mandisi Mphahlwa and staff at the Mission is working to assist the families and to offer all necessary consular services. DIRCO is in constant communication with the High Commissioner as the search and rescue continues, and we hope that they can still be found alive,” stressed DIRCO.
