A group of armed people kidnapped 42-years-old Habib Zafarhoussen, who was working as Australian ambassador in Madagascar.
Four unnamed bandits trapped the diplomat near a gym, where he has been training for several hours during Monday evening. They forced Zafarhoussen to enter his car, which was driven by a personal motorist, local gendarmerie said. Abductors threw the driver away from the vehicle, as a ride had begun, and moved to an unknown direction.
According to the eyewitnesses’ information, the car was last seen in the suburb of Antsiranana.
