SA President Cyril Ramaphosa condemned terrorist attacks in Kenya and expressed condolences to the victims

South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa condemned the devastating and mortal terrorist attacks in Kenya. According to preliminary data, at least 15 people died as a result of terrorist actions, and many citizens were injured. It is noted that there were no South Africans among the victims.

The situation is currently monitored by the South African High Commission in Nairobi. The SA government is also maintaining contact with the Kenyan authorities.

As follows from the Presidency statement, South Africa condemns the attacks on the government and civilians in Kenya and expresses condolences in connection with the deaths:

“South Africa condemns in the strongest possible terms the attacks on the government and the people of Kenya. South Africa extends its condolences to the bereaved and wishes those injured a speedy recovery. On behalf of the government and the people of South Africa, we send a message of support to the government and the people of Kenya,” Khusela Diko, Spokesperson to the President noted.
