Ramaphosa appoints Minister Jeff Radebe as acting President of South Africa

The South African Minister of Energy, Mr Jeff Radebe, was appointed as acting President of the Republic of South Africa in absence of President Cyril Ramaphosa. At the moment, Ramaphosa is on a state visit to the Republic of Mozambique.

Maputo, where the South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived, will host bilateral talks with the President Filipe Nyusi. During the meeting, parties will discuss regional and global issues.

In addition, Deputy President David Mabuza traveled to the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia as a Special Envoy in South Sudan. The goal of Mabuza on this trip is to intensify political forces aimed at achieving lasting peace in South Sudan.
