Tragic incident which took place at Wolfgat Nature Reserve on Wednesday ended up with one death. A man believed to be in his twenties tried to rescue a girl, 13, from the sea water but instead drowned himself.
Seaside lifeguards arrived at the scene after several reports from residents. According to official information, the teen who appears to be a disabled person was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
As National Sea Rescue Institute’s (NSRI) Craig Lambinon said, there was another male who attempted to help but got into troubles.
“An unidentified man went into the surf and was able to assist them from the water but he had left the scene before his details could be obtained,” Lambinon explained.
